By The Sword

Here is the recording of  'By The Sword' (Grade 2) from Grand Mesa Music Publishers.  This piece was recommended by Yamaha as one of the top 100 new pieces for band in Japan It was also recommended  enthusiastically by The Instrumentalist in the December 2018 issue.

This is a fantastic performance of Blink (Grade 3.5) by the Montgomery County (MD) Junior Honor band at their Gala on Feb. 4, 2017 under the direction of Ms. Terry Alvey. This piece can be purchased through http://www.bandworkspublications.com/

Composed for Winters Mill High School and Ms. Kristen Gottleib, With Skies Parted (Grade 3.5 /4) depicts a partly cloudy day. The sun peaks from behind the clouds. The rising chord clusters represent clouds while the varying bass support gives the theme new meaning, like clouds changing shape.

V (Grade 5.5) is a concert suite inspired by the works of Kurt Vonnegut. The piece is intended to capture the humor, melancholy, fantasy, and introspection often found in his novels and stories.
